since I offer counsel as a peer, I'd like to share a bit about my experience and training so you have a sense of who I am.

I am 35, white, transgender, disabled, and have a middle class background. I have been involved in radical politics in some form for most of my adulthood, and am constantly inspired by decolonial and anarchist thinkers. for about a decade I have exclusively practiced polyamory using a relationship anarchist approach. I have been a farm laborer, a teacher, a care worker, and many, many other roles. currently I am completing my graduate studies in mental health counseling, as I would like the ability to work with clients who cannot pay out of pocket.  for the past 3 years I have worked as a crisis counselor.

over the years I have learned to manage (and even recover from) a number of mental health struggles; disordered eating, addiction, suicidality, self injury, mania, and social anxiety, to name a few. in my professional work I have directly supported clients facing many of these struggles and more; psychosis, OCD thought patterns, rage & homicidal ideation, and the list goes on.

when not at my day job, I like to make art and study a variety of subjects for fun. my knowledge of psychology, philosophy, sociology, history, neuroscience, and critical theory are expansive for a layperson, and I weave these concepts together in the counsel I offer.

as I have become progressively more disabled, creativity has played the biggest role in my survival and stability. in developing art and writing practices, I feel powerful resiliency. creation is the ideal place to hold our madness, and beyond anything this is what I would like to help others find.
